I have just heard from the General Services Administration (GSA) If the town of Dauphin Island would accept ownership of the Lighthouse to serve as a park then the National Park service would be willing to assist them. Perhaps this is an avenue that would need to explored by the town council. The GSA has supported our efforts for years and we appreciate all they have done. I will contact the Mayor tomorrow and see what happens. The state wide school drive is a very good idea.
