NEWS about Sand Island Lighthouse.

Ownership of Property is soon to be transfered to the Town Of Dauphin Island. The A.L.A. will provide support and begin fund raising efforts soon to save this historic structure. The Property will be transfered through the Federal Land to Parks Program for use as a public park when renovations are completed. This is a milestone for the Sand Island Lighthouse project. Many thanks to the Town of Dauphin Island, and our dedicated A.L.A. membership. Now all of you people who have been wanting to help can get involved and help by helping raise the needed funds to save Sand Island Lighthouse.
