Growing up on the water in Mobile, I hate to see any of our Maritime Heritage be destroyed. Just curious but has anybody checked to see when the ship channel is due for dredging and could the spoil be dumped around the base of the lighthouse to help stabilize it. I remember the last major dredging of the channel some years ago and we ended up with Galliard Island our new Bird Sanctuary in the middle of the bay.
